We store the email you enter and use it only to ask, once in a while, how Symly is working for you, and to let you know about the occasional update. The download happens on the site, so we never email you anything to get it. No marketing list, no newsletters, no selling or sharing your data, ever. And the Symly app itself is fully offline: it makes no network calls and never sends your data anywhere.

When you submit your email to download Symly, we store the email address you enter. Alongside it we keep basic technical metadata that comes with any web request (a timestamp, the page you came from, and your browser’s user-agent string) purely to prevent spam and abuse. We do not ask for your name, your studio, or anything else.

We use Google Analytics to understand basic, aggregate traffic: which pages get visited and roughly where visitors come from. It sets cookies, and the data is processed by Google under their terms. We never connect it to your email.

To reach out, once in a while, for feedback about how your experience with Symly has been and what would make it better, and to let you know about the occasional update. You can ignore those, or ask us to stop at any time. That is the only reason we keep it.

We never add you to a marketing or newsletter list. We never sell, rent, or share your email with anyone. We do not run advertising trackers.

Submissions are sent over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and stored in a database that is only reachable through server-side keys. The list is not publicly accessible. The information is held by our hosting providers on our behalf, subject to their own terms of service and security practices.

The Symly macOS app runs entirely on your Mac. It makes no network calls, sends no usage data, and has no analytics, no telemetry, and no account. It never phones home, and it never transmits anything about your media, your projects, or your machine anywhere. The website (getsymly.app, getsymly.io, and mxf.media) collects only your email and the aggregate analytics described above.
